Striving for Victory: Vincenzo Albanese’s Path to Success
[“Vincenzo Albanese is a very good rider, but what I can’t measure yet is how much room for improvement he still has. In any case, I appreciate his qualities, because he’s solid, goes fast, and has the ability to negotiate bumps well, and even pass certain passes. Once he’s skimmed the surface of the pure sprinters, these skills enable him to show off his velocity in smaller sprints. He’s a very explosive rider. Last year, he put in a superb sprint against Wout Van Aert on the Coppa Bernocchi, and few riders have the skills to achieve such a performance. His strength is also his great consistency throughout the season. Vincenzo Albanese now needs to win more often, and win between two and three good races this year. He needs to develop the automatisms needed to achieve this kind of performance, and be in a position to win even more often. He has the potential to do so, and for him we have prioritized a program of one-day races at the start of the season, with a participation in Tirreno-Adriatico, which is the major Italian UCI WorldTour stage race at the start of the season”.]
