Kung’s flawless execution and pacing during the race garnered praise, with Julien commenting, “He managed his effort perfectly.” Kung expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating, “It was a good first test, especially given my crash on the time trial at the end of the season, even though I wasn’t thinking too much about it. Physically, I’m on schedule.”

Highlighting the significance of Kung’s podium finish, Julien Pinot emphasized the dedication and hard work put into Kung’s preparation, rehabilitation, and equipment adjustments. He emphasized the rewarding outcome as a result of collective investment by the performance team and Wilier’s staff. Kung’s third-place achievement also propelled him fourteen places up the overall rankings, positioning him fifth in the general classification.
