Sixth place for Sadnik in GP Oetingen

# Sadnik Secures Sixth Place in Challenging GP Oetingen

In a race marked by challenging wet conditions, Katharina Sadnik from Team Visma | Lease a Bike achieved a commendable sixth place at the GP Oetingen. The unpredictable weather led to several crashes early in the race, but Sadnik and her team managed to navigate the difficulties without incident.

Entering the final lap well-positioned, Sadnik felt the pressure build as fellow competitor Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx – Protime) launched an impressive attack on the Zavelberg, ultimately taking the victory. Despite Wiebes’ strong finish, Sadnik expressed satisfaction with her race performance, stating, “For me personally, a top ten finish couldn’t have been better. I felt good and was looking forward to starting here after Strade Bianche last weekend.”

Reflecting on the race’s intensity, she added, “The race started off pretty hectic with a few crashes. It was super important to stay on the bike and keep my focus for the final laps.” Sadnik emphasized her strategy, saying, “I knew how important it was to start the final lap in a good position, so I tried to move up as far as possible at the end. Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep up when Lorena accelerated, but I can be very satisfied with sixth place.”

The race results highlighted a competitive field:

1. **Lorena Wiebes** (Team SD Worx – Protime) – 03:40:03
2. **Fleur Moors** (Lidl – Trek) – +00:00:00
3. **Megan Jastrab** (UAE Team ADQ) – +00:00:11
