The riders go from a large road to a small narrow road with steep gradients. There’s always something going on, and this will be an important point in the race where it’s imperative that the riders are well placed. It’s a finish that often gives way to a bunch sprint, or even a breakaway that goes all the way to the finish, which is why it’s so important to be well positioned at strategic moments.
