Scott McGill Returns Home to Race the Maryland Cycling Classic

Scott McGill, a professional cyclist from Maryland, is set to compete in the upcoming Maryland Cycling Classic. McGill, who recently made the move to Europe to pursue his cycling career, expressed his excitement for racing on his home roads and in front of his family and friends. He stated, “Last year the race was awesome. It didn’t go so well to my expectations, but it was still a great event for the first year being in Baltimore.”

McGill had a successful 2022 season racing for Wildlife Generation before joining Human Powered Health Cycling. Despite facing injuries and setbacks, McGill is eager to make a strong comeback at the Maryland Cycling Classic. He said, “Our ambition is to win. Hopefully, we can go one better this year.”

The second annual Maryland Cycling Classic presented by UnitedHealthcare is scheduled to take place on September 3, 2023, in Baltimore. The race features top international pro cyclists from over 20 countries and is part of a four-day weekend celebration of health and wellness.
