“The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team was good, we stayed together. The given plan was respected, with a sprint finish for Amaury or me. There was a headwind, and this characteristic is never easy, so it was preferable to have two cards. Our team-mates did a good job, we let the other teams work. I made a bad choice on the approach to the line and didn’t take the right side. But that’s the story of a sprint and its share of randomness. We’re going home in sixth place. It’s not what we were looking for. I’m still recovering and it’s been a good dynamic since the Tro Bro Leon. We’re showing that we’ve done a good job after the break following the classics, and that bodes well for the races to come.
