ROSTER FOR THE UAE WOMEN TOUR
Title: UAE Women Tour: CANYON//SRAM Racing’s Roster and Riders’ Perspectives
CANYON//SRAM Racing’s lineup for the upcoming UAE Women Tour has been announced, with the team set to compete in the four-day tour. The team’s roster for the tour includes riders Ricarda Bauernfeind, Neve Bradbury, Tiffany Cromwell, Justyna Czapla, Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka, and Alice Towers, who are gearing up for a challenging race.
The peloton is set to face strong winds and exciting racing, with sprinters eyeing opportunities for bunch sprints on the pan-flat stages. The tour will also feature a queen stage, culminating in an 11km-long climb to Jebel Hafeet, showcasing the early season form of World Tour climbers.
Ricarda Bauernfeind, one of the riders, expressed her anticipation for the challenges ahead: “My goal will be to learn to deal with the wind and find the best wheels. The third stage is clearly my favorite because of the climb! I believe we have a good team for the flat stages, with Agnieszka showing she was up there for the intermediate sprints last year.”
Neve Bradbury shared her perspective, stating, “I feel like I have recovered well from the first races in January. We all want to improve from the TDU and Deakin University races.” She added, “The crosswinds are going to be another important experience for me as I’ve not done a lot of racing in strong winds before.”
The 2024 UAE Women Tour can be followed on X with #UAETourWomen, and fans can watch a live broadcast on Eurosport and locally on Awaan. With challenging stages ahead, and the riders ready to take on the competition, the tour promises to be an exciting event for cycling enthusiasts.
