Rolf Aldag Praises BORA – hansgrohe’s Performance at AlUla Tour 2024
Sports Director Rolf Aldag has expressed his satisfaction with BORA – hansgrohe’s performance at the AlUla Tour in Saudi Arabia. After three stages, rider Matteo Sobrero is currently ranked third in the overall standings, signaling the team’s strong position in the race.
Aldag acknowledged, “Therefore, we can be very happy with our performance so far. Against the pure sprinter teams, we are absolutely on track. At the same time, Matteo is now in a promising position in the general classification.”
Aldag also praised the team’s unity and adaptability in the face of last-minute changes, stating, “Our guys are doing very well – and Matteo’s ranking proves we’re competitive.”
The sports director emphasized his pleasure with Sobrero’s immediate impact, remarking, “Sometimes it feels like he’s been with us for three years – so well has he integrated.”
Looking ahead, Aldag highlighted the importance of maintaining the team’s position in the upcoming stages, stating, “Tomorrow, we need to be careful that we stay at the front during the uphill sprint finish. On the last day, it’s all about the general classification. Here, we need to put Matteo in a good position.”
