Remco Evenepoel Dominates Figueira Champions Classic Race with 51st Pro Victory

First race, first success for the Belgian Champion, who clocked up his 51st pro victory.

Remco Evenepoel started the season in style as he secured a dominant victory at the one-day Figueira Champions Classic race, marking the commencement of his sixth campaign in the Soudal Quick-Step team.

Evenepoel’s remarkable performance delivered the squad’s fourth win of the season, as he launched a long-range attack that left no chance for his opponents, ultimately finishing with an incredible gap of almost two minutes.

“I’m happy I could start the season with a victory just as I wanted, it’s good for my confidence and for my next race,” said Evenepoel following his win.

The Belgian champion’s solo ride for over 50 kilometers and successful attack showcased his strength and determination, cementing his position as a force to be reckoned with in the cycling world.
