Polish Rider Kamil Małecki Excited for Tour de Pologne: “My Favourite Race”

Lotto Soudal is gearing up for the WorldTour stage race Tour de Pologne, which will feature a mix of flat and hilly stages. The team, including Kamil Małecki, is prepared to compete in Poland, with the general classification likely to be decided during the mountain time trial on the penultimate day.

Małecki, a Polish rider for Lotto Soudal, is determined to showcase his skills in his home country after facing setbacks earlier in the season. After a team training camp in Livigno, Małecki is feeling motivated and on the path to recovery. He expressed his optimism, saying, “I feel better every day and my injury affects me less and less. I am on a good way to full recovery…I have worked hard and hopefully I can benefit from that pretty soon.”

This will be Małecki’s second participation in the Tour de Pologne, but he already made an impressive mark in his debut last year, finishing sixth in the general classification. The 26-year-old rider reveals, “The Tour de Pologne is my favourite race and I’m really looking forward to the race. Last year’s sixth place was a fantastic moment in my career and I hope to give the fans similar emotions this year.”

The Tour de Pologne will take place from July 30 to August 5 and will consist of seven stages, covering a total distance of 1,209.4 kilometers.
