This Saturday marks an exciting moment for our cycling team as several promising talents make their grand tour debuts at the 2025 Vuelta a España in Torino. Young riders [Archie Ryan](https://efprocycling.com/our-team/archie-ryan/), [Markel Beloki](https://efprocycling.com/our-team/markel-beloki/), [Lukas Nerurkar](https://efprocycling.com/our-team/lukas-nerurkar/), and [Jardi van der Lee](https://efprocycling.com/our-team/jardi-van-der-lee/) will be joined by seasoned competitors [Esteban Chaves](https://efprocycling.com/our-team/esteban-chaves/) and [James Shaw](https://efprocycling.com/our-team/james-shaw/) to navigate the grueling 3,180-km journey to Madrid.
Our team is ready to seize every opportunity with a mindset of taking on each stage like a separate one-day race. The Vuelta is famed for its explosive nature, and with challenging mountains such as the Angliru and Bola del Mundo ahead, our climbers are primed for adventure.
### Insights from the Team
**Jardi van der Lee** expressed his excitement, stating, “When our sports directors called me with the news that I would be participating in the Vuelta, I got goosebumps all over my body. It is a dream come true.” His preparation included a well-executed altitude camp and intensive training efforts. Jardi aims not only to compete for stage wins but also to finish his first grand tour, remarking, “It is going to be a new experience.”
**Archie Ryan** added, “I’m pumped. I’m super, super excited.” He plans to push hard for stage wins, emphasizing, “There are going to be loads of opportunities.”
Veteran cyclist **Esteban Chaves** understands the weight of responsibility on himself and his young teammates. “If I do a bad race or am moody… they will take that on. I want to create a great memory for them in the future,” he noted, underlining the importance of leadership.

**Sean Quinn**, recently recovering from his health battles, expressed gratitude: “I’m really looking forward to testing myself and competing again.”
Finally, **Madis Mihkels**, the reigning Estonian champion, looks forward to stage wins, saying, “I see five great opportunities for me to sprint.”
