# Jørgen Nordhagen Claims Second Place in O Gran Camiño

In a thrilling conclusion to the five-day Spanish stage race, O Gran Camiño, Jørgen Nordhagen of Team Visma | Lease a Bike secured a commendable second place both in the final stage and overall classification. The last stage tested athletes with a challenging 155 kilometers, culminating in a steep ascent to Alto Monte Santa Trega.

Starting the final day in second place overall, Nordhagen showed grit and determination as the race unfolded. An elite group of riders surged ahead as they tackled the Alto Monte Santa Trega, with Nordhagen narrowly conceding to Alessandro Pinarello, who clinched the stage victory. Race leader Adam Yates followed closely in third.

Reflecting on his performance, Nordhagen expressed satisfaction with the result: “It’s great to finish this week on the podium. It was a tough stage to close out the race, but we were well prepared. The guys did an excellent job throughout the stage, allowing me to start the finale as fresh as possible. In the final kilometer, Pinarello made a very strong move. I tried to follow, but second place was the best possible result for me today. I’m ending this week with a good feeling. I’m looking forward to La Flèche Wallonne and the Tour de Romandie.”
