# Nooijen Races to Fourth in Simac Ladies Tour Time Trial
In stage five of the prestigious Simac Ladies Tour held in Gelderland, Dutch cyclist Lieke Nooijen delivered a commendable performance, finishing fourth in the individual time trial. Racing against the clock, Nooijen clocked a time of 12:58, following Zoe Bäckstedt of CANYON//SRAM, who set a remarkable standard with 12:40.
Reflecting on her effort, Nooijen expressed satisfaction despite narrowly missing the podium, stating, “I think I rode a good time trial. I paced it well, but for the podium — and certainly for the win — I wasn’t strong enough today. The past few days have been tough of course, but I can be satisfied with this effort.”
Teammate Margaux Vigié also showcased her talent, securing a strong position within the general classification with a time of 13:23, reinforcing her place in the top five of the overall standings.
Carlijn Achtereekte, another member of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, shared her enthusiasm post-race, commenting on the familiar terrain: “I know the course really well and received great support from the car. There were lots of family and friends along the route, which gave me extra motivation. On top of that, my boyfriend was in the team car, which made it even more special.”
