Nicolo Parisini Clinches First Professional Victory in Stage Three of CRO Race

Italian cyclist Nicolo Parisini, riding for team Q36.5, secured his first professional win in stage three of the CRO Race. The stage covered a distance of 133.5 kilometers from Otočac to Opatija. Parisini emerged victorious in a thrilling sprint finish in Opatija, beating out Tobias Andresen and Matej Mohorič.

Parisini expressed his satisfaction with his performance, stating, “I was convinced I would have a good result today, and I’m happy I managed it. The team positioned me well towards the end of the stage, but in the end, I decided to stay on Mohorič’s wheel, which turned out to be the right decision.”

Andresen’s second-place finish in the stage propelled him into the overall lead of the general classification. He now holds a two-second advantage over Parisini and a four-second lead over Alexander Kristoff. Additionally, Andresen claimed the blue points jersey and the white jersey for the best young rider.

Austrian cyclist Marvin Hammerschmid will don the green king of the mountains jersey at the start of stage four. The riders were sent off at the start of stage two by several notable figures, including Goran Bukovac, the mayor of Otočac, and Ivan Radošević, the Lika-Senj County Tourist Board director.

Stage four of the CRO Race is scheduled to begin in Krk on September 29 and will culminate in Labin. Cyclists are expected to arrive in Labin between 4:36 PM and 5:08 PM.
