Marian University Dominates Collegiate BMX Nationals, Secures Team Omnium Win
Marian University emerged victorious at the 2024 USA Cycling Collegiate BMX National Championships, with Cameron Wing and Violet Cejalvo clinching individual titles. The weekend in Springfield, Missouri was filled with intense competition as Marian University outshined the field to reclaim the top spot in the team omnium standings.
In the collegiate women’s category, Cejalvo from Marian University showcased her determination and talent, culminating in a gold medal win after battling fiercely on the track. Alexandra Hill of Marian University secured second place, while Breanna Winter also represented Marian University on the podium in third place.
On the men’s side, Cameron Wing of Marian University maintained his lead in points throughout the weekend and ultimately sealed his first individual National Championship title. Spencer Cole from Lindsey Wilson College claimed the second spot, with Zaine Stenson of Colorado Mesa University finishing in third place.
The team omnium title was fiercely contested, with Marian University finishing on top with 312 points, capturing their ninth team omnium win. Lindsey Wilson College followed in second place with 286 points, while Lindenwood University secured third place with 262 points.
