Lotto Soudal Extends Contract with Ridley to Continue Winning Partnership

In a display of strong teamwork and mutual satisfaction, Belgian bicycle manufacturer Ridley and professional cycling team Lotto Soudal have agreed to extend their contract until 2022. This decision was fueled by their shared vision for cycling and commitment to performance, quality, and continuous research and development.

“Both Ridley and us share the same vision of cycling,” said Lotto Soudal General Manager John Lelangue. “Performance, quality, and continuous research and development. In short, we aim for the best there is on the market.”

Lotto Soudal CEO Jochim Aerts expressed his gratitude for the longstanding partnership between the two entities. “We have been sponsoring Lotto Soudal for 13 years. In 2005, they gave us a chance at the highest level. Together we immediately won three stages in the Giro and the Tour that first season, thanks to Robbie McEwen. A year later, our first Green Jersey was a fact, the start of a fantastic and long-term partnership.”

Throughout their partnership, Ridley and Lotto Soudal have achieved an impressive 319 victories, with more than half of them on their flagship bike, the Ridley Noah Fast. This high-performance bike has been ridden by renowned sprinters such as Robbie McEwen, Andre Greipel, and the recent addition Caleb Ewan.

Jochim Aerts emphasized the value of sponsoring a professional team like Lotto Soudal, stating, “Sponsoring a WorldTour team is not only important for brand awareness but Lotto Soudal is also essential for the development of our racing bikes. That is why we are extremely proud that we can extend our contract for a further two years.”
