Lotto Dstny Extends Contract with Arnaud De Lie Until 2026

Lotto Dstny has announced the contract extension of its 21-year-old leader, Arnaud De Lie, for an additional two years. This means that De Lie will be racing in the Lotto Dstny outfit until at least the end of 2026.

De Lie had an impressive season with the Development Team before turning pro last year. He quickly made a name for himself, ending his first professional year with nine victories. Despite a heavy crash earlier this season, De Lie has already achieved seven victories and impressive performances at races like Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Dwars door Vlaanderen, and the Brabantse Pijl.

CEO Stéphane Heulot expressed his satisfaction with the contract extension, stating, “From the moment Arnaud entered the Development Team, he experienced tremendous development and quickly became one of our leaders due to his strong performances. This long-term commitment gives us the opportunity to take the next steps within Lotto Dstny, so that together we can realize Arnaud’s ambitions.”

De Lie himself explained that extending his stay at Lotto Dstny was a logical choice for him. He emphasized the team’s confidence in him from the beginning and the promising project the management has proposed for the coming years. De Lie also mentioned the team’s attention to detail and investment in performance, which made him happy to prolong his contract.

Looking ahead, De Lie has some significant appointments for the rest of the season, including the Renewi Tour and the Canadian one-day races in Quebec and Montreal. He expressed his ambition to become competitive at the highest level and win a big Classic in the future.

“The fact that I will be racing with Lotto Dstny until 2026 gives me some peace of mind and also the time to improve step by step. This year I was already able to show myself several times in WorldTour races, which proves that I keep making progress,” said De Lie.

The extended contract gives De Lie the opportunity to continue developing and pursuing his ambitions with Lotto Dstny, and both the team and the rider are looking forward to what the future holds.
