Lotto Dstny Aims for Victory at Milan-Sanremo

Belgian ProTeam, Lotto Dstny, is gearing up to compete in the prestigious Milan-Sanremo cycling race on March 18th. Led by sprinters Caleb Ewan and Arnaud De Lie, the team is hoping to secure victory in this iconic event. Ewan, a two-time runner-up at La Primavera, will be participating for the sixth time, while it will be De Lie’s debut in the race. The team will be supported by talented riders Jasper De Buyst, Jacopo Guarnieri, Frederik Frison, Jarrad Drizners, and Maxim Van Gils.

The race covers a challenging distance of 294 kilometers from Abbiategrasso to Sanremo, with climbs like Cipressa and Poggio testing the riders’ endurance and skill. Sports director Allan Davis, who finished second in 2007, is optimistic about the team’s chances. “It is clear that we have two protected riders with Caleb Ewan and Arnaud De Lie. The fact that we have two sprinters can only play into our advantage… Caleb has the experience with five participations and two podium spots… Hopefully, we can sprint for victory this year,” he said.

The team has carefully analyzed different race scenarios and will adapt its tactics accordingly. Davis emphasized the strength of the team in supporting Ewan and De Lie, stating, “We have a solid team at the start which is able to protect Caleb and Arnaud really well. We go for the best possible result.”

With a strong roster and ambition to succeed, Lotto Dstny is ready to take on the challenge of Milan-Sanremo and strive for victory.
