Liv AlUla Jayco is setting its sights high for the upcoming Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race on Saturday 28th, as the team looks to conclude the Australian summer of racing on a successful note. The challenging 140.8km circuit around Geelong poses both hilly and potentially windy conditions, providing an opportune setting for the team to showcase their strengths.
The team’s newly crowned Australian Champion, Ruby Roseman-Gannon, expressed her enthusiasm for the race, stating, “Cadel’s is a special race – the 2020 edition was the first race I really believed I could make it as a professional. I’m really excited to race it again this year.” With experienced riders such as New Zealand climbing specialist Ella Wyllie, and the support of South Australian duo Alex Manly and Amber Pate, Liv AlUla Jayco is primed for a strong showing.
Megan Chard, Sport Director of Liv AlUla Jayco, emphasized the team’s motivation for the race, remarking, “We left TDU hungry for the win but also having taken a lot of key learnings to implement into our future races.” Chard highlighted the team’s readiness to give their all, stating, “The nature of the course suits us well and with how the girls are currently riding, we are ready to lay everything on the line for that top step on the podium.”
