Yvon Ledanois: “We don’t get paid for our involvement and the race we run”.
“We were in control of the race… until three kilometres from the finish, after which, as they say, “we ate the match report”. Nevertheless, I’d like to underline the collective effort we put in. We know that control in the final stages of a race is always complicated. Clément was at the front, but he found himself alone against teams more heavily represented than us, after Léandre Lozouet lost contact with the breakaway group. Our trump card for the sprint was Luca, but he didn’t have the same legs as two days ago. It’s a shame that all the hard work we put in didn’t pay off. The ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team’s involvement and the race as a whole were not rewarded. That’s what bothers me a bit, but the important thing is to keep looking ahead.
