Koen Bouwman finishes seventh in stage 3 of Tour of Slovakia

Koen Bouwman of Jumbo-Visma finished seventh in the third stage of the Tour of Slovakia. The yellow-black formation maintained control in the early stages, with teammate Milan Vader tightening his grip on the mountain jersey. Bouwman and Gijs Leemreize followed Vader closely, but were unable to respond to a late attack by the stage winner Bagioli. Despite not winning the stage, sports director Robert Wagner was pleased with their performance, stating, “The goal today was to keep the lead in the mountains and young rider classification”, adding that they still have two good opportunities ahead of them.
