Kasia Niewiadoma Shines at Setmana Ciclista Valenciana With Third Place Finish on Xorret de Cati

Kasia Niewiadoma’s impressive performance at the Spanish stage race, Setmana Ciclista Valenciana, continues with a third-place finish on the grueling queen stage, Xorret de Cati. With over 3000 meters of elevation gain in just four hours, the challenging stage pushed the peloton to the limits. Kasia crossed the line just 23 seconds behind the stage winner, Niamh Fisher-Black, catapulting her into second place in the general classification, just eight seconds behind the leader with one stage remaining.

“Today was a very hard day for everyone in the peloton, with over 3000m elevation gain in just four hours,” said Kasia. “It was brutal!”

Kasia emphasized the vital support she received from her teammates Antonia and Elise, noting their roles in responding to attacks and ensuring her safety throughout the challenging stage.

Reflecting on her performance, Kasia acknowledged the steep and challenging final climb, where she made a strategic move, saying, “I gave my best today and I’m generally happy with the result.”
