Julian Alaphilippe Finishes Sixth Overall at the Tour Down Under

Julian Alaphilippe secured a commendable sixth-place finish in the overall standings at the 24th edition of the Tour Down Under, demonstrating strong form throughout the week-long race. Reflecting on the challenging terrain, Alaphilippe finished the intense stage to Mount Lofty in the same position he entered the day, showcasing his resilience and competitive spirit.

Commenting on the race, Alaphilippe expressed, “I felt good and I’m happy with what the squad has shown here. The confidence is there especially after this hard weekend, and I feel that slowly I am getting back to a good level. I enjoyed this race and being in Australia, and now I will return home and continue my preparations for the next goals.”

Alaphilippe’s performance was further complemented by the strong ride of Gil Gelders from the Soudal Quick-Step team, who displayed impressive determination in the challenging race.
