ProTeam, Lotto Dstny, has announced the signing of Danish cyclist Jonas Gregaard for a two-year agreement. Gregaard is known for his all-round skillset and dedication to teamwork, making him a valuable addition to the team.
CEO Stéphane Heulot expressed his enthusiasm for Gregaard’s signing, stating, “Jonas is an allrounder and a team player. He will give our team more depth in races with a lot of altitude meters.”
Gregaard has showcased his abilities as a domestique in the past two seasons with Uno-X Pro Cycling Team, supporting riders like Tobias Halland Johannessen and Alexander Kristoff. However, he is also eager to ride offensively in stage races and demonstrate his climbing prowess.
Describing himself as an allrounder with good climbing legs, Gregaard compares himself to Lotto Dstny riders Andreas Kron and Maxim Van Gils, noting that they may be slightly stronger than him. He looks forward to assisting them in hilly races while also aiming for his own results in stage races.
CEO Stéphane Heulot believes Gregaard’s experience and respected presence in the peloton will make him an excellent fit for the team. He emphasizes that Gregaard will have opportunities to work for leaders in hilly races while also having the freedom to take on a free role in select stage races.
Gregaard’s addition to Lotto Dstny brings the team its second Danish rider, joining Andreas Kron. Gregaard and Kron have a long history together, having been members of the same local club when they began cycling. Gregaard speaks highly of Kron and is excited to be part of the team and help him achieve his goals.
This signing strengthens the Lotto Dstny team as they continue to strive for success in upcoming races.
