Israel – Premier Tech Targets Stage Wins and Maglia Ciclamino at Giro d’Italia
Israel – Premier Tech is gearing up for the Giro d’Italia with Giacomo Nizzolo as the team’s leader, aiming for stage wins and a third Maglia Ciclamino. The team’s Sports Director, Oscar Guerrero, expressed the team’s focus on sprint stages and the support they have with a strong lead-out train. Guerrero also emphasized the impact of rider Alessandro De Marchi and the team’s overall goals for the race.
Nizzolo is optimistic about his preparation, having taken a different approach this year. He believes the team is motivated and ready to give their best performance. Besides stage wins, they will also be targeting the Maglia Ciclamino. Nizzolo’s previous success in the race and the first two weeks’ sprint stages make it an achievable goal.
Alessandro De Marchi, who had an unfinished business at last year’s Giro due to a crash, is eager to return to the race. He feels a personal connection to the event, especially the stage passing through his hometown. De Marchi plans to support Nizzolo in the sprints for the first half of the race and focus on his own performance in the later stages.
