Israel – Premier Tech is gearing up for the highly anticipated Tour of the Alps with a strong and motivated team. The team is ready to take on the challenging mountainous Italian-Austrian stage race and aims to be competitive every day.
Tour of the Alps is known for its breathtaking scenery and challenging stages, with several categorized climbs on each day of the race. The team’s sports director, Dror Pekatch, expresses the team’s excitement and motivation for the race, stating, “After the recent good performances by the team, the riders are really motivated to get going.”
IPT has set two main goals for the race. Firstly, the team aims to support riders who are returning from sickness and injuries and help them get back on track. Secondly, they plan to race aggressively and creatively, targeting stage wins. Pekatch keeps the team’s tactics a secret, but assures that spectators can expect to see a competitive performance from the team throughout the race.
Last year, IPT’s Alessandro De Marchi won the King of the Mountains jersey at Tour of the Alps and went on to claim the pink jersey in the Giro d’Italia. De Marchi acknowledges the importance of the race in his preparation for the Giro, especially after recovering from a recent illness. He hopes to improve with each day of the challenging course and is looking forward to the start of the race.
The lineup for Tour of the Alps includes Alessandro De Marchi, Chris Froome, Omer Goldstein, Carl Fredrik Hagen, James Piccoli, and Giacomo Nizzolo. The team will be guided by sports directors Dror Pekatch and Claudio Cozzi.
