Israel – Premier Tech assembles strong team for Tour de Luxembourg, aiming for GC success
Israel – Premier Tech has announced its lineup for the Tour de Luxembourg, with a strong team targeting stage wins and a strong overall result. The race features a varied parcours, including three hillier stages, a flat stage, and an individual time trial, creating an unpredictable five days of racing.
Jakob Fuglsang, who has won the race before and considers Luxembourg a second home, is optimistic about his chances. “I know it’s going to be very difficult to win, especially with the long time trial on stage four,” says Fuglsang. “But with my form finally coming back nicely, I’ll give it everything and do my best to get a good result in the General Classification.”
Joining Fuglsang is Michael Woods, who aims to play an aggressive role and use the race as preparation for his final big goals of the year, the Italian Classics. Woods is also focused on helping his teammates, including Corbin Strong, Dylan Teuns, and Fuglsang, in their pursuit of stage wins or the General Classification.
Sports Director Oscar Guerrero is optimistic about the team’s chances, highlighting their strong climbers like Woods, Fuglsang, and Teuns. He acknowledges that the long time trial on stage four may not suit the team’s strengths but believes they can keep their options open and fight for the best possible position in the General Classification.
The team’s first chance for success comes on the first day, as the finish suits both sprinter Corbin Strong and attackers Dylan Teuns and Krists Neilands. Guerrero believes that Strong, as a fast rider who can climb, has a real chance on the demanding finish of stage one.
