Israel – Premier Tech Aims for Stage Wins in Tour de Hongrie as Bevin Learns from Neilands
Israel – Premier Tech is set to compete in the Tour de Hongrie while also chasing stage wins in the Giro d’Italia. Patrick Bevin and Itamar Einhorn are among the team’s main contenders in the Hungarian race. The team boasts a successful history in the Tour de Hongrie, with notable victories and strong performances in previous editions.
This year, the team welcomes back Krists Neilands, who previously won the race and will serve as a valuable resource for team leader Patrick Bevin. Bevin revealed that he has learned from Neilands about the challenging five-day stage race, particularly the demanding final climb in the queen stage.
“I realized it is a much harder climb,” Bevin commented. “The last 3.5 kilometers are over 8%. It is a very steep run to the finish line.”
Bevin, who recently won a stage in the Tour de Romandie, will be aiming for victories in the three consecutive stage races he is competing in.
Meanwhile, Itamar Einhorn, the Israeli sprinter, is also targeting a stage win in the Tour de Hongrie. He sees several opportunities for sprint finishes in the race and is excited to showcase his sprinting skills. Einhorn will have the support of strong riders like Tom van Asbroeck and Guy Sagiv, who have recovered from their injuries, as well as Carl Fredrik Hagen.
