INEOS Grenadiers Opt to Conserve Energy in Challenging Stage of La Vuelta
The INEOS Grenadiers team made a strategic decision to hold their fire in one of the most grueling stages of La Vuelta so far. While Geraint Thomas and Jonathan Castroviejo attempted to break away early on, the pace set by the general classification (GC) teams made it clear that a successful escape was unlikely. As a result, the Grenadiers dropped back and conserved their energy for future stages.
The stage saw intense competition among the GC riders, with Jonas Vingegaard from Jumbo-Visma taking the victory. Sepp Kuss, also from Jumbo-Visma, retained the coveted red jersey.
