GreenEDGE Cycling Sweeps Australian Criterium Championships: Roseman-Gannon and Ewan Clinch Victory
GreenEDGE Cycling emerged victorious at the Australian Criterium Championships, with Ruby Roseman-Gannon and Caleb Ewan leading the charge. In the women’s race, Roseman-Gannon claimed her second criterium title, with Georgia Baker and Alex Manly making it a Liv AlUla Jayco one, two, three. In the fiercely contested men’s race, Ewan sprinted to victory on his team return, securing his fourth national criterium title. The team’s stellar performance in the championships sets the stage for the upcoming men’s and women’s road race championships on Mount Buninyong.
Reflecting on her win, Ruby Roseman-Gannon expressed her delight, “I think it’s my first solo win since I became professional and maybe my first ever, so I’m really happy to win today. In the end we got one, two, three so I can’t thank the girls enough, it’s such a great team to race with and what a great way to start the year.”
Similarly, Caleb Ewan shared his excitement about returning to the team, “It’s amazing to be back and back in the team and I really wanted to start the year really well, and that was going to be here at the crit. I was super nervous before the race to be honest, I felt like a kid racing again.”
The championships concluded with GreenEDGE Cycling’s dominance, as the final standings showcased Roseman-Gannon’s victory in the women’s race and Ewan’s triumph in the men’s race.
