Giro, stage 13

“David Dekker was our card for the sprint this Friday on stage 13 of the Giro, which arrived in Cento. The only difficulty could be the wind, and we knew where that could be. When an edge formed, we had three riders from the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team: Jenthe Biermans, David Dekker and Michel Ries. But when the wind shifted, everything fell into place.
After the regrouping, all the riders were grouped around David, but three of our riders were caught in a crash at the start of the final: David, Alan Riou and Ewen Costiou. All three made it to the finish. The fall changed our plans, and in the end Jenthe Biermans had to sprint alone.
