Giro dell’Emilia to Feature Top Cycling Talent with Prominent Riders on the Starting List

Tomorrow is the highly anticipated Giro dell’Emilia, featuring both the men’s and women’s races. The event, organized by Gruppo Sportivo Emilia and patron Adriano Amici, will see some of the most prominent riders on the international cycling scene in action.

Among the 173 starters in the men’s race, there are notable winners from previous editions, including Eric Mas, Primoz Roglic, Alexander Vlasov, Alessandro De Marchi, Esteban Chaves, and Diego Ulissi. The race will also include other big names such as Tadej Pogacar, Julian Alaphilippe, Adam and Simon Yates, Thibaut Pinot, Jai Hindley, Richard Carapaz, Pavel Sivakov, Romain Bardet, and Michael Woods, among others. The race is expected to conclude around 4:15 p.m.

The women’s race, Giro dell’Emilia BPER Banca Internazionale Donne Elite, is set to begin at 11:40 a.m. and will include some of the most prominent athletes in women’s cycling. The course includes two ascents to the iconic San Luca climb, promising an exciting and challenging race. The women’s race is expected to finish around 2:15 p.m.

Television coverage of the Giro dell’Emilia will be extensive, with live broadcasts on Rai 2, Rai Italia, and Eurosport.

Both races will start from Carpi and feature challenging routes through the Modena countryside and hills before reaching the iconic San Luca climb in Bologna. The men’s race covers a distance of 204.1 km with a total elevation gain of approximately 2,800 meters, while the women’s race covers 103.5 km.
