Gallery: Tour de France week two
To the Pyrenees we head for week two of the Tour de France!
Take a look behind the scenes with our exclusive photo gallery from week two of the 2025 race.
Stage 15: Muret > Carcassonne
Top finisher: Alexey Lutsenko, 24th, +1:36
Alexey Lutsenko: “I really wanted to be in the breakaway today. Jake [Stewart] was with me and he did a super job on the flat part. On the climbs, I followed the best riders and ended up in a position to race for the podium. I tried my best but the big group came back and I had nothing left after all the attacks.
“Looking at my numbers after the stage though, I think I can be very happy with today’s stage. The legs are good and I’m optimistic for the third week!”

Stage 14: Pau > Luchon-Superbagnères
Top finisher: Michael Woods, 45th, +26:07
Michael Woods: “I’m a bit disappointed with today, I wanted more out of it. We were hoping to move up in the KOM ranking or go for the stage win. In the end, we did neither.
“I think I invested too much energy in trying to get into the breakaway on the flat part. By the time we started on Tourmalet, I was already pretty tired. But I still tried, I still gave it my best. The race is definitely not over. I’m happy with how my legs felt today and I think there are still some good opportunities to come!”

Stage 13: Loudenvielle -> Peyragudes ITT
Top finisher: Alexey Lutsenko, 31st, +4:16
Alexey Lutsenko: “My goal wasn’t to go full gas today, but I wanted to test my legs a little and make sure they were in order for the upcoming days. Sometimes it’s important to do so in big races like this one.”

Stage 12: Auch > Hautacam
Top finisher: Michael Woods, 40th, +18:17
Michael Woods: “The whole team did a great job to get me in the breakaway but unfortunately, we never got much of a gap. Once I realized that we wouldn’t make it, I decided I just wanted to salvage something from the day and go for the KOM points.
“A stage win is still the number one priority but it’s always good to have some points in the bank. You never know what will happen.”

Stage 11: Toulouse > Toulouse
Top finisher: Joe Blackmore, 50th, +3:53
Pascal Ackermann: “It was a super hard day. The attacks never stopped. Unfortunately, during a moment when everybody was tired, the group with Van Aert and Van der Poel went away. We tried to bring it back to give Jake [Stewart] a chance but we realized that nobody wanted to help us so we stopped again to save energy for the days ahead.”
