Fem van Empel Triumphs with Dominant Solo Performance in Koksijde
In a stunning display of skill and determination, Fem van Empel emerged victorious in the Koksijde race with her powerful solo ride. Her fearless approach and unwavering focus saw her take the lead early on and maintain it throughout the demanding sand and mud sections.
“I am thrilled to have won this beautiful race,” said van Empel. “The main thing was to be able to ride my own lines on this course. The fact that I was able to do that gave me a bit more confidence.”
Van Empel’s exceptional performance earned her the top spot, marking her fourteenth win of the season. Her upcoming plans include a training camp in Spain with the team, skipping the Zonhoven Cross and the Dutch championships cyclocross, and ultimately returning for the start of the World Cup in Benidorm.
“It has been a busy but wonderful time,” van Empel reflected. “Now it is time to take some time off to recover and build up for what is to come.” This victory solidifies van Empel’s position as a force to be reckoned with in women’s cycling, showcasing her skill and determination on the international stage.
