Émilien Jeannière wins the Boucles de la Mayenne!
After several podium finishes this season, Émilien wins the 1st stage of the Boucles de la Mayenne in a sprint!
A few days after his 2nd place in the Antwerp Port Epic, Émilien Jeannière was keen to taste victory. This is now the case, after a stage that was unpredictable for a long time. The breakaway was first caught just 500 metres from the finish, before a massive crash brought down many riders. Well placed at the front, Émilien then launched his sprint perfectly on a slightly uphill section. More powerful on the pedals than his rivals, our rider showed all his determination to win!
Émilien has already won several times with the Vendée U, and today marks his first professional victory! After the finish, Émilien spoke to France 3 Pays de la Loire:
“Since the start of the season, I’ve been going round and round, so I knew it was going to happen. When, I didn’t know, but today it suited me really well, it’s an arrival I like.”
