Egan Bernal Secures Fifth Place in Paris-Nice Stage Four

Egan Bernal showcased an impressive sprint to secure fifth place at the finish line in stage four of Paris-Nice. The challenging 183-kilometer stage featured seven categorized climbs, including two ascents of the pivotal Mont Brouilly.

During the race, the Grenadiers made a strategic move on the descent of the penultimate climb to reel in the lead duo to set the stage for the final climb. Jonatan Castroviejo played a crucial role in narrowing the gap before the last ascent.

Despite the stage win going to the front duo, Egan Bernal’s strong performance enabled him to move up to sixth place in the General Classification, with Carlos not far behind in tenth place.

In a separate event, Tirreno-Adriatico, Tom Pidcock found himself in a promising position for the reduced bunch sprint but was unfortunate to be caught behind a crash near the finish line. Fortunately, he managed to stay upright and crossed the finish line safely.
