Giro dell’Emilia Teams Revealed
The Giro dell’Emilia, a prestigious cycling race tradition, presented its double appointment of the men’s and women’s race during a ceremony in Carpi, Modena. The Giro dell’Emilia Granarolo and the Giro dell’Emilia BPER Banca Donne Elite were unveiled with all the details explained.
Carpi Mayor Alberto Bellelli expressed his excitement about hosting the race for the second consecutive year, saying, “It is an extraordinary showcase for Carpi, which is preparing to welcome the elite of international men’s and women’s cycling.” He emphasized the positive impact of having top cyclists interacting with fans and encouraged people to join the celebration of sports on September 30.
The men’s race, Giro dell’Emilia Granarolo, will start from Carpi and pass through various locations, including Modenese hills and Bologna’s outskirts. The challenging course includes climbs and descents, with a thrilling finish near the Basilica of San Luca.
The women’s race, Giro dell’Emilia BPER Banca Donne Elite, will also start from Carpi and follow a route that includes Sorbara, Bomporto, and Bologna. The highlight of the course is the climb up to the Basilica of San Luca, which is expected to be the decisive point of the race.
Both races will feature renowned teams, with prominent cyclists participating. Teams such as UAE Team Emirates, Jumbo-Visma, and Movistar Team will showcase their talent in the Giro dell’Emilia Granarolo. The Giro dell’Emilia BPER Banca Donne Elite will see teams like UAE Team ADQ and FDJ Suez in action.
The Giro dell’Emilia races will be broadcasted live on TV, reaching over 200 countries worldwide, allowing fans from around the globe to witness the excitement. It promises to be a thrilling event for both riders and spectators alike.
