# Viktória Chladoňová Triumphs at National Cyclo-Cross Championships

Viktória Chladoňová showcased her dominance in the cyclo-cross arena by reclaiming her national title, expressing her elation with the words, “I am extremely pleased with this victory.” Despite being aware of her strong chances, she acknowledged the unpredictability of the sport, stating, “I knew, just like in previous years, that I had a good chance of winning the title. However, anything can happen in a cyclo-cross race, so I had to stay focused.”

During the early laps, Chladoňová rode closely with Sofia Ungeróva, who exhibited commendable endurance. However, after several attempts to break free, Chladoňová successfully distanced herself from her rival. After an intense race lasting over 45 minutes, she was able to celebrate her victory with a triumphant gesture.

“It means a lot to me to be champion again,” Chladoňová declared. This latest win adds to her impressive collection of titles, as she also became the Slovak champion on the road and in the individual time trial earlier this year. “What I really like is that I get to ride in the champion’s jersey for the rest of the season. I’m really looking forward to that,” she added, emphasizing the significance of this achievement.

Chladoňová’s success continues to inspire many in the cycling community as she cements her status as one of Slovakia’s leading female cyclists.
