Domenico Pozzovivo Makes Strong Return at Coppi e Bartali Race
Domenico Pozzovivo made a triumphant comeback at the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali race, securing 6th place in the general classification after months away from racing. Pozzovivo expressed his delight at his performance, stating, “I came here with hope to fight for a top-10, but in truth I can say that the end result is pretty amazing, considering that I did not race for months.”
Despite facing challenging conditions, Pozzovivo demonstrated his strength and determination to excel in the race. He praised his teammates and the support he received, stating, “The team gave me all they got. It’s been great and I am already looking forward with a lot of optimism to my next races with the team.”
Pozzovivo’s humble and respectful demeanor towards his teammates and fans was also noted, earning him admiration from his young teammate Nadav Raisberg. Raisberg expressed his awe at Pozzovivo’s power and speed, stating, “I knew about him, but to see the power and speed that he possesses – it’s almost shocking.”
