Arnaud Démare: “The finish is pretty tough but we can imagine a sprint finish”.

“I’ve only raced Milan-Turin once. It was in 2020, and I won. So this will be my second participation. What’s special about this event is that every year the course is slightly modified, with either a flat route for sprinters, or a more hilly one for puncheurs and climbers. This season, it’s somewhere in between, with a fairly gruelling finish. It’s still possible to imagine a sprint finish, so I hope to find the opportunity on this event. It’s a great race, and a lot of good sprinters compete in it when the course is right for them. There’ll be a high level of competition, and it’ll be a chance for me and the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team to take part in a sprint.
