**Team Visma | Lease a Bike Faces Tough Challenge in Queen Stage of Volta Ciclista a Catalunya**

On the penultimate day of the Catalan stage race, the Team Visma | Lease a Bike riders faced a challenging 154-kilometre queen stage between Berga and Queralt, braving five categorised climbs. The peloton, led by Team Visma | Lease a Bike, diligently pursued the early breakaway duo, never allowing them much space.

The toughest climb of the day, Coll de Pradell, proved to be a daunting task for the Team Visma | Lease a Bike riders. Despite the difficulties faced, rider Sepp Kuss managed to finish in 15th place but lost his spot in the top ten of the general classification.

Team sports director Marc Reef commented on the day’s performance, stating, “Of course we had hoped for more…We went for it, but we weren’t able to do it. This result was the highest possible today. We have to accept that.” Reef acknowledged the challenges faced by the team and looked ahead to the final stage in Barcelona, noting the potential for riders Steven and Attila to excel there.

The stage saw an impressive performance from Tadej Pogačar from UAE Team Emirates, who clinched the victory, while Egan Bernal and Mikel Landa secured the remaining podium spots. Despite the setbacks, Team Visma | Lease a Bike’s riders will look to regroup and aim for a strong finish in the upcoming final stage of the race.
