Didier Rous: “All riders must share the same desire to succeed”.
“I’m approaching these French championships with ambition, starting with the time trial on Thursday. It’s one of my objectives for the season. It’s something I’ve been working on for a few years now, and I feel I’ve turned a corner this season with some fine performances. It allowed me to rediscover myself in this area. In the road race, we’ll have the advantage of having a strong team at the start, with the support of our Development team. However, we won’t be the only ones in this situation, and we won’t be the favourites. Like any race, we’ll have to run intelligently, using our strengths. It’s a special race, where you can sometimes miss your bearings because you don’t get as much information. It’s a format that I enjoy, and there’s the added motivation of racing on my home turf in Normandy.
