Israel Cycling Academy Aims for Success in the ‘Baby Giro’ – The Biggest Race of the Season

Israel Cycling Academy is gearing up for the highly anticipated ‘Baby Giro’, which is the U23 version of the prestigious Giro d’Italia. This race holds immense significance for U23 riders and Israel Cycling Academy is honored to be participating in the event.

Sports Director Gordon Fraser expressed the team’s excitement, stating, “This has been a season goal since the beginning of the year. The races we have done so far have been a build-up to what we will face here in Italy in the next seven days.”

Mason Hollyman, who has secured a position in the WorldTour-team in 2023, will be leading Israel Cycling Academy in Italy. Fraser commented on Hollyman’s form, saying, “He is looking sharp. With him, we hope to get a top-5 in the general classification.”

The team also consists of Riley Pickrell, who will be targeting results in the flat stages, Edo Goldstein, Nadav Raisberg, and Alastair Mackellar, completing the line-up for Israel in the Baby Giro.

Fraser expressed his expectations for the team, saying, “I hope to see a team riding well-together, in the front of the race every time it matters. Hollyman is capable of getting a good result in the GC, and I want to see the team committed to helping him. So if the peloton lines up in colors, we have to be there and show our presence. That is how we can get the results this week.”

Israel Cycling Academy is determined to make a strong impact in the ‘Baby Giro’ and showcase their potential on the international stage. With their focus and dedication, the team aims to achieve impressive results throughout the competition.
