Vincenzo Albanese, 7th on stage 2

“This second stage was predicted to be tough, and it turned out to be. After several weeks of racing, I was feeling good. The whole ARKEA – B&B HOTEL team worked hard to put Clément Venturini and me in the best possible position for the final stage. I couldn’t keep up with stage winner Bettiol’s attack on the final climb. In the last six kilometers, Thibault Guernalec made a big effort to bring us back to the front of the race. I’d like to thank him for that. I finished in a group for 5th place and finished 7th in the sprint”.
