Kaden Groves Reflects on Impressive Team Performance at Stage Race
In a recent interview, cyclist Kaden Groves expressed his pride in his team’s performance at a challenging stage race. Despite not achieving a stage win, Groves emphasized the surprise they delivered to other competitors.
“I think we surprised a lot of guys today,” Groves stated. “It shows that my team believes in me. We didn’t get the win but we did a really good performance.”
Groves highlighted the team effort throughout the race, particularly praising teammate Jimmy Janssens for his contribution. Janssens took the intermediate points for Groves, providing him with support during the race.
“It’s good for him to also have a chance to race for the win because he’s been the guy that’s always pulling at the front of the peloton in the sprint stages,” said Groves. “There’s no gifts. We did our best, I did the absolutely best ride I could do. In the end, it wasn’t enough but I’m still proud regardless.”
Despite not achieving their ultimate goal, Groves remains proud of the team’s performance and their ability to surprise other competitors. The race highlighted their belief in each other and their determination to succeed.
