Chloé Dygert Empowers Herself with a Sixth-place Finish in Classic Brugge – De Panne Debut

In today’s Classic Brugge – De Panne race, Chloé Dygert showcased her skills by finishing sixth in her debut in the event. Despite minimal wind and the absence of echelons and small groups, Dygert’s performance stood out over the 155km course.

Throughout the race, lone or two-rider breakaways were the only disruptions to the peloton, with sprinter teams battling hard to set up a decisive sprint finish in De Panne. Rider Maike van der Duin also made her mark by attempting multiple attacks. Ultimately, the race came down to a sprint showdown which saw Elisa Balsamo clinching the victory, with Chloé fiercely competing to secure a commendable sixth-place finish in her first race of the season.

Reflecting on her performance, Chloé expressed, “Today was a hard day! I’m happy to get it under my belt and get used to being in a peloton again. I was in pretty good position going into the final 3km but without a strong leadout it’s so hard to not waste energy. I just spent too much energy trying to keep position and ended up sixth. I’m looking forward to improving every race.”

With a promising start and a hunger for progress, Dygert’s journey in the Classic Brugge – De Panne sets the stage for an exciting season ahead.
