Caleb Ewan Returns to GreenEDGE Cycling in 2024
Australian sprinter Caleb Ewan has announced his return to GreenEDGE Cycling in 2024, reuniting with the team that helped him become one of the world’s best sprinters. Ewan, who has 60 victories to his name, turned professional with the Australian outfit back in 2014 and enjoyed numerous successful seasons with them, including winning his debut WorldTour race at the Vuelta a España. After a five-year absence, Ewan is excited to be coming “back to the team as a more experienced rider” and hopes to bring further success to the team.
Team Jayco AlUla General Manager, Brent Copeland, expressed his delight at having Ewan back on board, saying, “Caleb needs no introduction with the incredible list of results that he has…we are certainly going to be looking for wins in all races that we see Caleb and Dylan line up in.” Ewan himself shared his excitement about returning to his roots, saying, “It means a lot to me to come back to GreenEDGE…I have really good memories from being with GreenEDGE those first few years.” He also highlighted his development as a rider and as a leader and is eager to take on a more prominent role within the team.
With Ewan’s return, GreenEDGE Cycling’s sprint squad is expected to be significantly strengthened, and the team is hoping for a strong roster in 2024. Ewan’s addition will provide the team with another fantastic option to challenge for sprint finishes, and his experience and leadership will be valuable assets to help guide and support younger Australian riders on the team. Overall, Ewan’s return to GreenEDGE Cycling has generated much excitement and anticipation for the upcoming seasons.
