Brady Gilmore wraps up Circuit des Ardennes GC

Job done for Brady Gilmore. Having never claimed a GC victory in his career prior to March, he added the Circuit des Ardennes title to his palmáres on Sunday.

As was the case at last month’s Tour de Taiwan, he succeeded IPT rider Joe Blackmore as the GC champion at Ardennes, a five-day, 2.2-ranked event in northern France.

Having won Saturday’s fourth stage to give himself a nine-second advantage, the Australian rider stayed out of trouble in Sunday’s finale to clinch the overall win.
