Bahrain Victorious Announces Lineup for La Vuelta a España
Team Bahrain Victorious has announced its lineup for the 78th edition of La Vuelta a España, with Santiago Buitrago and Mikel Landa leading the team. The race, known for its challenging mountain finishes, will start on August 26th and conclude on September 17th.
Neil Stephens, Head Sports Director, shared the team’s goals for the upcoming race, saying, “We are looking forward to using our resilience and consistency to fight for a podium finish with one of our riders. Stage wins are always a high priority for us.”
Buitrago, who has had podium finishes in multiple races this year, including a stage win at the Giro d’Italia, expressed his excitement about returning to La Vuelta a España, stating, “It is a great privilege to go to the Vuelta as one of the leaders and more with the support and experience of my teammates.”
The team’s road captain, Damiano Caruso, is expected to provide guidance and support to the leaders. Other riders in the lineup include Wout Poels, Antonio Tiberi, Kamil Gradek, Jasha Sütterlin, and Matevž Govekar.
With a challenging route that includes nine mountain top finishes, the team will rely on their strength and teamwork to achieve their goals at La Vuelta a España.
