Arnaud Gérard Reflects on the Volta ao Algarve 2024: Looking Ahead to Belgium
Arnaud Gérard, the director of the Volta ao Algarve cycling event, recently reflected on the intensity and commitment of the competition. He shared insights on the performance of Florian Sénéchal and Martin Tjøtta, highlighting the rigorous nature of the race. Speaking about the event, Gérard mentioned, “Florian Sénéchal was in the breakaway today on this final stage of the Volta Ao Algarve. It’s been an intense week, both in terms of pace and commitment, because even if this event doesn’t have the label, it’s at the level of a UCI WorldTour race. Martin Tjøtta gave himself the means to finish strongly. Now we’ll be looking ahead to the opening weekend in Belgium, hoping to reap the rewards of the week we’ve spent here in the Algarve, with a very high pace every day”. Gérard emphasized the team’s focus on leveraging their experience in the Algarve for the upcoming challenges in Belgium.
